Week 8 Part B: Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts & Webinars PLUS How Adding a Personal Touch to Posts Can Help
How I
Use Blogs, Vlogs, and Webinars to Connect with My Landscaping Customers
As a
landscaping business owner, I've found that a blog is a powerful tool for
educating my clients and building relationships. My goal is to share practical
tips, inspire with real stories and show how we can transform outdoor spaces.
Educating
and Attracting Customers with My Blog
On my blog,
I like to share:
- Helpful tips: Articles like "10 Ways
to Keep Your Lawn Green Year-Round" or "Which Plants to
Choose Based on Your Region's Climate."
- Before and After Projects: I post "before and
after" photos to inspire others to imagine what we can do with their
gardens.
- Seasonal content: From "Winterizing Your
Garden" to "Design Trends for Spring," I offer
relevant ideas all year round.
- Human Stories: I'm talking about unique
projects, like helping a family turn their backyard into the perfect place
to hold meetings.
Connecting
in a Visual and Personal Way with Vlogs and Webinars
In addition
to the blog, I like to use videos and webinars to connect with my clients:
- Vlogs: I record videos showing
projects in action, share visual tips like "How to trim shrubs
properly," and interview satisfied clients.
- Webinars: I host live sessions to teach
techniques such as "Designing a Low-Maintenance Garden"
or answer questions in real-time.
The
Personal Touch: When to Use It
Sharing
personal stories, such as where my business came from or customer testimonials,
helps create an emotional connection. However, I maintain a more serious and
technical tone when explaining things like irrigation systems or sustainability
practices, because that builds confidence in my experience.
Inspiration
from Other Businesses
I've
learned from how automotive companies tell emotional stories in their
campaigns, or how banks show success stories from their customers. These
strategies inspire me to humanize my brand in a similar way.
Conclusion
My blog,
vlogs, and webinars are not just marketing tools, but bridges that allow me to
educate, inspire, and connect with my customers. Through useful and authentic
content, I show how my team and I can transform outdoor spaces and bring our
clients' ideas to life.
