Week 10 Part A: Researching Email Marketing
Although PUNTO VERDE is currently a fictional
project, I envision it as a real business in the future, one that focuses on
sustainable landscaping and creating green spaces that invite people to return
time and time again. As part of this vision, I plan to utilize newsletters as a
key tool to connect with my future clients and provide them with valuable,
engaging content.
When the business becomes a reality, I aim to
send newsletters on a monthly basis. I believe this frequency will strike the
perfect balance between staying connected with my audience and avoiding
overwhelming them. It will also provide a consistent platform to share ideas,
updates, and practical tips.
Here’s an outline of the kind of content I’d
include in these newsletters:
- 1.
Future
Projects and Visual Examples: I imagine sharing fictional designs or mock-ups
of green space transformations that will eventually serve as real-life examples
of my work. This will inspire and demonstrate the impact of sustainable
landscaping.
- 2.
Gardening
Tips: I would share insights on how individuals can adopt sustainable practices
in their own green spaces, from selecting eco-friendly plants to creating small
urban gardens.
- 3.
Exclusive
Offers: I plan to reward early supporters of the business with special
discounts, free initial consultations, or promotional packages once the
business is up and running.
- 4.
Insights
and Inspiration: I’d keep my audience informed about trends in landscaping and
green design for both urban and residential settings.
- 5.
Events
and Workshops: Hosting workshops on sustainable gardening is something I
envision, and the newsletter would be a great way to invite people to
participate.
In the meantime, as part of this fictional
project, I’m researching and learning from existing newsletters. I’ve
subscribed to newsletters from similar businesses to analyze what works and
what doesn’t. I’m observing how they structure their content, the tone they
use, and the visual strategies they employ. All this will help me refine my own
approach when PUNTO VERDE transitions from a concept to a real business.
For now, imagining PUNTO VERDE’s future
motivates me to keep working towards this vision. I see these newsletters as an
extension of the brand’s core values: sustainability, creativity, and fostering
meaningful human connections.



Once a month for Punto Verde would be great! I think your ideas are wonderful and will definitely keep people reading. Gardening tips are always appreciated by those who love gardening and offers are – awesome! Everyone enjoys learning about events even if they may not attend but I think it helps to keep your business in their minds if they happen to see something similar. Great strategy!

I like that you are taking a long term approach to it, not trying to push a sale immediately. I think that the coupons are a great idea as well.
