Week 12 Part A: Using Business Specific Online Tools

Since deciding to launch PUNTO VERDE, I have realized the importance of leveraging digital tools to structure my business, connect with clients, and establish my presence in the market. Exploring different options, I see how each one can help me grow my venture in unique ways.

For managing remote projects and communicating with clients, online collaboration tools like Trello and Slack prove invaluable. They allow me to organize tasks, share ideas, and maintain an efficient workflow, which is essential for designing outdoor spaces tailored to each client's needs.

Professional networking is key to building my brand, and LinkedIn helps me connect with other landscape design experts, business owners, and potential clients interested in sustainable solutions. By joining relevant groups and sharing insightful content, I position myself as a trusted professional in my field.

Another powerful resource is MeetUp, where I can engage with communities of entrepreneurs and sustainability enthusiasts. Eventually, I may even host events to showcase my vision for landscape design and attract potential customers.

Managing my business reputation is crucial, so I make sure to utilize Google My Business and Yelp to collect and display customer reviews. Encouraging clients to share their experiences not only builds credibility but also helps attract new opportunities.

Visual content plays a major role in engaging audiences, and TikTok and Instagram Reels open the door to dynamic storytelling. Through short videos, I can showcase my design projects, share landscaping tips, and expand my reach to a broader audience.

Each of these tools brings me closer to establishing PUNTO VERDE as a well-recognized name in landscape design. By strategically applying them, I strengthen connections, highlight my services, and create a community focused on beauty and sustainability.

  5. I think this post sums up a good, selective majority of online business tools that you use! I was not aware of ones like Trello and Slack before reading this blog in particular. I also am not a personal fan of LinkedIn but its awesome to see that it is one of your main tools! Also the pace of this blog is very nice! It's short and straight to the point, but still gives us the information we need!

  6. I love how thoughtfully you’ve mapped out the tools you’re using to build PUNTO VERDE—it’s clear you’ve put a lot of intention into each choice. Trello and Slack sound like a great combo for staying organized and keeping projects running smoothly, especially when you’re tailoring designs to each client’s needs.

LinkedIn and Meetup are both smart moves for networking. I can really see how connecting with like-minded professionals and sustainability-focused communities would support your brand’s mission. Hosting your own events down the road sounds like a great way to build deeper connections and showcase your vision.

The use of Google and Yelp for reputation management is so important too—client reviews are often the first thing new customers look for, and it’s great that you’re making that a priority.

And TikTok and Instagram Reels? Perfect for a visual brand like yours. Sharing tips and showing off your projects through short videos is a great way to inspire people and grow your following.

Even though my focus is different, I can take a lot from this—especially the way you’re using each platform to serve a specific purpose. Your approach really shows how powerful these tools can be when you use them with a clear strategy and a strong sense of purpose.
